Doberman Pinscher
Chopper was dumped by his owner at an upstate animal shelter. No reason was given. They stated his age as 4 years, and he clearly had been neglected, as he was overweight and had calluses on his elbows. Chopper is a happy, fairly energetic dog who loves his life much more now, and we intend to find him a new home where he can be more involved in things that will keep him happy. He's not a tall Dobie, but a solidly-built one, and we imagine he'd enjoy older kids. His behavior with other dogs isn't known yet, though there appears to be no outright aggression. Chopper is at the rescue in Fillmore and he is ready for a home that can give him all the love and comfort he has always deserved.
