Doberman Pinscher

It was fortunate that we were allowed to rescue Dober from his animal shelter because he has a bite history. In our judgment, the bite sounded completely justified, as the owner's landlord entered the yard without
invitation, and Dober had apparently been with another dog "in season," whom he was believed to be protecting in addition to his yard and territory. Dober seems to us a very happy, friendly dog, though possibly apprehensive
if frightened. He's a fairly big guy (lean at 77 pounds; should weigh in the upper 80's), and he's 2 1/2 years old. Dober is smart and will require a sturdy fence and gate, as he released himself from a kennel during the night he arrived and was running around with several large dogs of both sexes without any arguments from any of them.
