Allegra is a pretty new girl we rescued from upstate California and managed to get her to us with the help of drivers and a brave pilot, despite the past weeks' awful storms! She's a slender year-old blue Dobie who is dog-social and charming who was picked up as a stray at large. Given the good condition she is in, we doubt she had actually strayed; more likely she was abandoned by an owner for any of many reasons we are hearing lately, moving being the most common of them. Allegra seemed to be very anxious on her ride home, busily pawing and digging at the flooring in the rear of the van she was traveling in. This behavior could be interpreted in many ways, but it seems probable that it was related to the reasons she was lost. We are seeking a home for Allegra with fencing that is secure at the bottom, just in case....
