Canelo is a sweet boy who landed in an animal shelter with a broken front leg. The shelter raved about his affectionate nature so we worked him in as soon as we had a spot for him. Unfortunately, his injury had occurred over a month before his arrival to us so the bone had already started to heal at a less than ideal angle. We had him in a cast for 6 weeks hoping to strengthen and straighten his leg while the bones healed but the result is still a front leg that bows in the middle. He will never be an athlete but thankfully, he doesn't have high energy demands that require lots of exercise. Canelo is about 2-3 years old and he's good with female dogs but should probably be fed separately so he sticks to just his food and doesn't steal everyone else's (that behavior hasn't been displayed towards people). Canelo needs a loving home that won't have too many active expectations of him and can keep him satisfied with other activities.
