Oliver II (because we have two Olivers) is a sweet, gentle dog whose owners felt that he needed more attention and time from them than they could provide. He's 2 years old, good with dogs and kids, and though not housebroken, he's crate-trained. Oliver knows a few commands, but "come" is not one of them; he is inclined to dart if scared or startled, so extra care should be taken to keep him on leash when outside a confined area. If he needs to be left alone he may bark due to separation anxiety, so he may do best with a more confident companion dog. We have often seen this behavior with dogs that are the only dog in the home. A cat won't suffice in Oliver's case; he'll chase a cat. ( ;
