Hawk is a handsome guy who came to us from an animal shelter with a couple of wounds that looked like an attack from another dog. He was thin and withdrawn at first, hardly looking at us. It didn't take long for him to start being more engaged and eventually affectionate. He's a big guy at about 80-85 pounds but he isn't too difficult to handle. He shares his kennel easily with a boisterous, young female Dobie and he tolerates her shenanigans well. He doesn't seem to require another dog to be happy but he can accept the companionship of one. Hawk is a bit of a serious guy and a gentleman that we think would be best suited to a calm, adult home without young kids or lots of action. For the right owner or couple he will be a devoted, easy going and calm companion.
