Hero came to us from a central valley animal shelter in October, 2023. He had reportedly been stray for at least two weeks before being impounded. Despite being 7 years old and blind in one eye, the staff there became so fond of him that they advocated for him as a friendly and charming guy, so we made room for him. During his stay with us, Hero has been compatible with a female Doberman but he can be a bit dominant and would probably do best as the only dog in the home. He's not huge, but he's muscular and weighs just under 80 pounds.
