Nannie was turned in to a local animal shelter by her owner. We don't know the reason, but the shelter staff were touched by the story and asked us immediately if we could possibly take her. Our visit to the shelter to pick her up showed a very stressed, unhappy dog, and we're glad we rescued her because we like her a lot. Nannie blended nicely with a large neutered male here and has been very friendly to us and seems relieved to be here. She is a blue Dobie with a so-so coat, and she's about 2 years old, a little underweight at 63 pounds, probably reaching an ideal weight of about 70 pounds.
