Ruby (yes, we now have 3 Dobies named Ruby!) is a gorgeous girl that arrived a few weeks ago from an animal shelter. She had been adopted from the shelter and returned a month later for reasons we aren’t sure of. Ruby is about 3 years old and has energy to burn so she will need a home that can provide for not only her physical but mental needs. Here’s the catch…she is also heartworm positive. She is being treated but we are trying to keep her from excessive exercise until she’s further along in her treatment. She is very intelligent, engaging and affectionate but she is also strong, a little pushy and energetic. She loves to play with large male dogs and some large female dogs but we are not recommending her for a home with small dogs or cats. We love this gorgeous girl and we want to see her succeed in a loving home so we are looking for the right person, couple or family that can invest in her care and training.
